Multi-tenant MSP
eir business provides a full suite of Azure managed services to more than 60 business customers across Ireland, covering monitoring, patching, backups, and cloud operations. As their customer base grew, so did the complexity of managing Azure costs on their behalf and the gap between what customers expected and what the team could realistically deliver.
Before Turbo360, Azure cost optimisation at eir business happened as a one-time exercise during customer onboarding. A professional services Azure consultant from the Microsoft practice would manually log in to each customer environment, work through documentation templates in the Azure portal, and produce a cost analysis report. The process was thorough but entirely manual, entirely point-in-time, and anything but scalable. Each review consumed approximately two days of PS engineer time per customer
If a customer’s bill jumped by €10,000 in a single month, they’d come to us for analysis but our engineers were rarely idle. Someone could be screaming from the rooftops, and we might not have anyone available for another 10 days. By which point, it could be €15,000. — Head of Cloud Operations, eir business
The core problem wasn’t the team’s expertise but it was the absence of continuous visibility. Costs could drift, spike, or accumulate between manual reviews with no early warning. And when cost queries did arrive from customers, the response was free, unplanned work that ate into engineer capacity without any service wrapper around it. eir business recognised they needed to move from reactive cost analysis to a proactive, automated service and build a commercial offering around it.
After evaluating several FinOps tools, eir business selected Turbo360 Cost Analyzer to power a new managed FinOps service for their Azure customers. The decision came down to the depth of reporting automation, the quality of the self-service customer portal, and the responsiveness of the Turbo360 team during evaluation including fast access to a demo environment and clear answers to technical questions around data residency and security.
Turbo360 Cost Analyzer was deployed across eir business’s customer base, enabling continuous cost visibility across all Azure subscriptions without manual engineer intervention. Automated monthly reports are now generated per customer, surfacing cost trends, anomaly alerts, and right-sizing recommendations. Customers who want to dig into their own data can access a branded self-service portal directly reducing the volume of routine cost queries hitting the eir business team.
For new customer onboarding, the first run of right-sizing and Azure Reservations analysis consistently generates immediate, tangible value showing customers exactly where savings are available in their environment before they’ve even fully settled into the service.
The automated reporting was key for us — engineers no longer have to spend half a day per customer per month pulling reports. And the level of customisation Turbo360 offered on both the reporting and the self-service element ticked all our boxes. Brian Duignan — Head of Cloud Operations, eir business
Implementation was straightforward. The majority of customers consented quickly once the data processing approach was explained, and the technical team found the tool quick to configure and fast to return data. eir business’s engineers were comfortable managing it from day one.
Since deploying Turbo360, eir business has fundamentally shifted how they deliver and package Azure cost management moving from ad hoc manual effort to a structured, scalable service.
What previously required manual portal access, template-driven analysis, and point-in-time reporting is now automated freeing engineers for higher-value work.
Reports are generated automatically and delivered to customers on a scheduled basis, no engineer intervention required for routine reporting.
Continuous visibility replaced quarterly point-in-time snapshots. Cost spikes can now be identified and acted on before they compound.
The first run in a new customer environment consistently surfaces savings opportunities generating an instant “wow” moment that strengthens the relationship from day one.
Cost management has become the standout element of eir business’s managed services pitch — the capability that consistently gets IT managers and CIOs most engaged during sales conversations.
Turbo360 has been a game changer in our ability to offer a full service management wrap around our Azure customers. To be able to have a cost management service, end to end, for our customers has really elevated what we can offer. When we talk about cost optimisation in sales conversations, that’s the one that makes every IT manager lean forward. It’s the differentiator that gets everyone excited and the first report always delivers.

Head of Cloud Operations, eir business
eir business evaluated multiple FinOps tools before selecting Turbo360. The decision came down to three factors: the depth of reporting customisation, the quality and usability of the self-service customer portal, and the responsiveness of the Turbo360 team during the evaluation process including fast access to a hands-on demo environment.
The proximity of the Turbo360 team and their engagement style also played a role. eir business wanted a partner relationship, not just a product licence and the dynamic, accessible nature of the Turbo360 team gave them confidence they’d get the support they needed as the service scaled.
eir business’s end goal is a fully automated FinOps service maintained by a single engineer a significant step from the large, manual resource investment that cost analysis previously required. As customer adoption of the self-service portal grows and budget alerting becomes more embedded in the service model, the team expects to further reduce the operational overhead of delivering cost management at scale.
The success of Cost Analyzer has also strengthened eir business’s Azure managed services proposition at a commercial level with cost optimisation now serving as a consistent pre-sales differentiator in conversations with new IT manager and CIO prospects.
eir business, a leading Irish managed services provider, was spending up to two engineer-days per customer on manual cost reviews with no ongoing visibility between them. With Turbo360 Cost Analyzer, they automated reporting across 60+ customer environments and turned FinOps into a differentiated service offering.
