Registration Process

  • When you request a place on the workshop our team will reach out to you to discuss what your looking to get from the workshop
  • A week before the event our team will reach out to you to help setup your trial instance of Turbo360 so that it is preconfigured in advance of the hackathon to maximize the amount of time you can spend getting value from the hackathon.

Prerequisites

There are some prerequisites for the workshop which are discussed below.

Setting up the Trial

In order to participate in the hackathon part of the workshop you will need to use a trial of Turbo360 which will help you setup and see your billing data and to explore cost insights and optimization opportunities.

Below are some of the things we will need to help you setup in advance of the workshop to allow get the most out of the day.

Required

You will need to have the following:

  • An Azure App Registration which will be used by Cost Analyzer to connect to your Azure
  • Minimum App Registration RBAC permissions:
    • Billing Reader – To import the billing data
    • Reservation Reader – To check on the available reservations and any you already have
    • Reader – This lets the rightsizing features compare your existing resource configuration against the billing data
    • The scope required for the above permissions can vary in the real world depending on the cost data you would like to see but we would recommend setting them at subscription level.
  • Other App Registration RBAC permissions
    • If you want to use the scheduler feature or implement a rightsizing recommendation then you would need to have permissions for the App Registration to perform these features. This can vary somewhat depending on the resource you want to configure. If you are just using a sandbox or demo environment.
